Kubrick by Kubrick

documentary, 73 MIN (2020)

Although he was one of the greatest film directors in the history of cinema, Stanley Kubrick rarely spoke in public. He consented to very few interviews. Word has it that he wasn’t keen on explaining the meaning of his films or talking to the media… The two decades after his death in 1999 saw the production of biographies, documentaries and exhibitions dedicated to his career and analysis of his movies, with his family, friends and collaborators talking about him. Yet, until now, we haven’t heard those stories told by Kubrick himself, a film director whom the wide audience still considers a mystery.
