Anna Kępińska Named Producer of the Year Once Again!

The Polish Producers Guild has awarded Ania Kępińska the Piotr Woźniak-Starak Producer of the Year Award for the series Heweliusz and Project Ufo. This marks the second time Ania has received this prestigious distinction - in 2023, she was honored with the same title for High Water. Congratulations, Ania! We are incredibly proud and delighted to celebrate this well-deserved success with you. 👏❤️ Congratulations also to Michał and Jan Kwieciński, who received this year's Producer of the Year Award for Chopin, Chopin.

Silver debuted at Koszalin Film Festival

Silver made a strong debut at the Koszalin Film Festival, winning two Jantar Awards: Best Documentary and Best Cinematography. Thank you so much! Congratulations to Natalia Koniarz, Stanisław Cuske, Yael Bitton, Marcin Lenarczyk, Maciej Kubicki (Telemark), and our wonderful partners: Piraya Film, IV Films, Silesia Film Commission, the Polish Film Institute, and KFF Sales. It has been an amazing year for Silver, starting with six awards at KFF: the Silver Horn, the FIPRESCI Award, the Maciej Szumowski Award, Best Cinematography, Best Producer, and the Audience Award. The film also received three awards at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival: Best Documentary (Opus Bonum), Best Documentary in the Visegrad Region, and Best Cinematography. This was followed by the Stowarzyszenie Kin Studyjnych Award at Watch Docs, the Documentary Feature Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance, the Little Stamp Award for Best Film by a Young Author and a Special Mention at ZagrebDox, as well as the Special Jury Prize at the Trento Film Festival. Huge thanks to everyone who made this journey possible!

We’re returning from KFF with as many as three awards!

First: the Golden Lajkonik for the director of the best short documentary film — Jakub Piątek for Bomsori x Bacewicz, an extraordinary musical dialogue between South Korean violinist Bomsori and Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz, with cinematography by Filip Drożdż, sound by Anna Rok and Michał Fojcik, edited by Urszula Klimek-Piątek, and produced by Zofia Kujawska of Telemark for Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne, with the support of MKiDN and FINA. Second: the Association of Arthouse Cinemas Award for the short film Ghosts, directed by Karol Ulman, with cinematography by Maks Plater, sound by Jacek Hamela, and editing by Aleksandra Kasprowicz. Executive production by Piotr Uśmiech of Telemark for Studio Munka, with Jerzy Kapuściński and Magdalena Tomanek. Third: a JI.HLAVA NEW VISIONS Special Mention at DOCS TO GO for the project Preemies, directed by Paweł Ziemilski, with cinematography by Mateusz Wajda, edited by Marcin Sucharski, and produced by Maciej Kubicki of Telemark, with the support of PISF and MWFF.

"Ghosts" selected for Polish Competition at KFF!

„Ghosts,” directed by Karol Ulman, has been selected for the Polish Competition in the Short Fiction category at the Krakow Film Festival. It is a joint project by Telemark, Studio Munka, WFDIF, and Prosound Studio, produced by Piotr Śmiechowski (Telemark). The film is being made as part of the “Thirty Minutes” Programme, with support from the Polish Film Institute and the UNESCO City of Film Łódź.

2 Awards for Heweliusz in Top Seriale 2026.

“Heweliusz” has won in as many as two categories in the Top Seriale 2026 poll organized by Wirtualna Polska: “Best Polish Series” and “Most Memorable Role or Scene”! The ferry sinking is a sequence spread across all five episodes and was described as “a scene that concludes the series with striking precision and emotional weight. […] The sinking ferry is depicted on a scale never before seen in Polish productions.” We would like to sincerely thank You for Your votes, and we congratulate all the other Winners and Nominees!

2 PSC Awards for Heweliusz and Silver

Among the winners of Awards of the Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC) are two productions by Telemark: Best Cinematography in a Series Episode to Bartłomiej Kaczmarek for “Heweliusz” and Best Cinematography in a Documentary Film to Stanisław Cuske for “Silver.” High five Bartek and the entire camera department, high five Staś!

“Women and War” at FIFDH Geneva

At Telemark, we believe that film has the power to change reality. That’s why we engage with important issues and tell their stories through powerful, moving projects. “Women and War,” directed by Elwira Niewiera and produced by Maciej Kubicki (Telemark), is another step on this path. The project will be accompanied by an impact campaign, which we discussed during Impact Days at the FIFDH Geneva festival. We would like to thank our co-producers for their trust and shared journey: PISF, MX35 TVP, Art Dialogue, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, and Ventana Films.

We've had several intense days of discussions about what climate depression is, how to find ways to overcome it and how to make a doc which transfer this experience to the audience. Four Telemark productions among the 20 best Polish documentary films selected by the Polish Film Institute!
