Marcin is a 33-year-old actor who has never played a significant role in a significant movie. He comes from a small town in southern Poland. He’s dedicated his life to his dream of becoming a great actor (like his idol Robert De Niro). He tries to work as a cabaret actor and a stand-up comedian.

The film shows one year in the protagonist’s life. A year that resembles a loop during which we promise ourselves that we’ll quit smoking, take up jogging, find an appropriate job or finally settle down with someone. One year later, we give ourselves the same tasks. One Man Show is a bitter-sweet movie that combines documentary observations and honest confessions of the young unknown actor.
